A light, entertaining read with funny dialogues, to be enjoyed on your vacation or when you want to unwind for a short time.

I have to confess that paranormal romance is not my first choice when it comes to picking what to read. Despite that, as soon as I saw the eye-catching cover of The Exorcist Who Loved Me and read its blurb, I was intrigued. I mean it's not everyday you have the premise of a mistress possessing the wife's body in order for her to discover who murdered her and the cheating husband!
Following the interesting and unique premise, the execution of the story was somewhat rushed, the plot twisted and turned with several secondary characters being introduced (some from the previous book in the series), and the POV shifted within the scene making me reread the passage to make sure I got it right who thought what.
Jennifer Savalli's idea was unique and her humour made the story a fun read. Don't expect much character development, both the hero and the heroine remained rather two dimensional, but what was a nice surprise is how Jennifer Savalli could make the mistress such a likeable character, the reader grows quite fond of her after they get over the initial prejudice.
The Exorcist Who Loved Me story was a cute, quick read, that would have benefited from some more polishing and better editing.
Verdict: The Exorcist Who Loved Me is a light, entertaining read with funny dialogues, to be enjoyed on your vacation or when you want to unwind for a short time. Chuckles guaranteed.

Funny, sexy, and oh so ghostly!!!

Review of The Exorcist Who Love Me
The Exorcist Who Love Me is the second book a funny paranormal romance series with a hint of mystery. Even though it is not the book of the series, it can be read as a standalone. Therefore, if you want to give it a try, don’t worry about cliffhangers and such.
Holly is a mother of twins (boy and girl) that recently become a widow due to her cheating, good for nothing, and frivolous husband. Yeah, Paul was a no good man. In fact, I doubt anyone truly liked him after spending some time with him. Holly is more furious than anything when he died because the rumors spread that the reason of his car accident was a blow job given by his mistress. Now, a spirit is possessing her every now and then, making her change her clothing and make up style. She only wants to get rid of the spirit and move on with her life, which couldn’t be more difficult at that moment. What Holly didn’t expect was a sexy exorcist that came into her life.
Honestly speaking, I was pretty surprised by the way the plot developed at the beginning. It felt quite surreal that Holly could have a conversation at all with the spirit that possessed her, especially when it was the dead mistress of her cheating husband. I truly felt she was rood to the mistress at some points but, to be fair, the woman has every right to be. Nevertheless, Celia made some pretty good points about how vague was the investigation of her death. In fact, I must admit that I had the filling her version of how things happened on that “tragic day” would plant doubt on Holly’s mind.
Celia was a great character. I know I should hate her just because she was the mistress. However, she made me laugh so hard at some points. There are times in which you can’t help but like a character, no matter how much of a jerk or bitch it is. Now, Lawe is the one that truly stole my heart. He gives this lone wolf vibe at the start of the novel but you can’t help but notice this protective aura he emits whenever he feels Holly might be in danger. I also got to see his warm and funny side. What can I say? This character stole the show for me.
If you would love to follow a widow, her death husband’s mistress, and a handsome exorcists that promises to be much more than what he seems as they try to uncover the truth about an unfilially and, possibly, criminal man; then this is the book just for you.
