I appreciate the message the author was sending with this book

This was an interesting tale about the process of breaking away from the street life for an older man who was used to a life of crime. Peter was considering leaving the fast life for a while, but he just needed a push in the right direction. This happened when he met Winsome, who quickly became the woman of his dreams. Their love progressed slowly, but not without some bumps in the road.
I appreciate the message that the author was sending with this book. I hope that it falls into the hands of someone who is considering leaving the street life for good.

An intoxicating read!

I started reading and couldn't put my Kindle down. This book has everything; suspense, romance, betrayal, murder,hope,courage and the need for growth and change. The words on the pages were refreshingly intoxicating. I love the way the woman (Winsome) is portrayed. She is hard working, beautiful, classy, intelligent, vulnerable and trusting; like most Belizean women!
A must read. Young people who want to get rich the wrong way can learn a lot from the content of these pages.
People don't change people. Love is a powerful emotion however an individual's personal choice to make his/her own life changes is more effective to scaffold ones life to its true purpose.
As I read, I keep reminding myself that I knew the author! Job well done Mr. Ashton Mendez.

The story line was good. But I became a little bored at times

Im somewhat torn. The story line was good. But I became a little bored at times. I feel the characters could have dealt with more situations to test their love not so much their loyalty. I mean the 2 go hand in hand.. but maybe if they were put in situations that caused them to be doubtful of love in the first place. Stepper was put in this situation but Winsome really didnt have to be reminded of what hurt her in the past. By the end of the book, I was left wanting a little more. Overall it wasnt to bad. If there's a sequel I probably wont read it.
